2013 is here and for many of us the New Year signals a time for change and if this means you’re looking for a new kitchen you need to know what’s hot when it comes to kitchen trends for this year. Think colour, think organised space, think sleekness. Here at The Cabinet Maker in Norwich we’re experts when it comes to designing kitchens and we have put together some tip tips on updating your kitchen for 2013:
According to the interior design gurus hardwood flooring is in when it comes to your kitchens. Look for shades of wood such as maple, oak and bamboo in natural whitewashed and bleached shades.
The Feel of Your Kitchen:
For 2013 it’s all about creating a sleek and contemporary look. Steel appliances and chrome countertops are big and super organized drawers and cabinets are still very popular. Another popular design choice is to hide your appliances, hiding things like your dishwasher or fridge behind cabinet doors can make the kitchen look larger.
This year your cabinets don’t need to completely match each other all around your kitchen. You could try placing dark coloured cabinets underneath your worktops and pair them with cream cabinets above.
Having two sinks is really fashionable for 2013. With many of us choosing to entertain at home as a pose to going out we need extras in our home! Having a prep sink and a clean-up sink can make things much more organised in your kitchen, particularly when you’re cooking for lots of people.
Here at The Cabinet Maker we specialise in providing our customers with beautiful bespoke kitchens so if you’re looking to give your kitchen a revamp this year then look no further than our expert team. This entry was posted in News. Bookmark the permalink.
